Justice for All Monthly Community Meeting

  • Unitarian Church of Montpelier 130 Main Street Montpelier, VT, 05602 United States (map)

It's a new year folks, with new roads ahead and plenty of work to be done. The word of 2018 is Hope, and the charge is combating systemic racism. With clarity of purpose and resolve in our hearts we forge on toward the realization of justice. So come on out to our first convening of the year to get caught up with old friends and prepare for the work before us.
We will discuss S.281, a bill in the senate that seeks to implement a permanent Commission to provide systemic racism mitigation to state and educational organizations. Last year we won advisory authority over racial disparities, this year we go for action against systemic racism!
Additionally we will take a deep dive into the message, the spirit, and the boots on the ground efforts surrounding The Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival. We will firmly ground ourselves in what it means to change the moral narrative of this nation, both in our hearts and in our communities.
