Organizing 101 will present a tested and proven methodology to move people from individual futility to collective action and power. It will be hard and uncomfortable, like real organizing! But, like real organizing, it works. This training will start with an examination of the difference between “Activist” and “Organizer”. We will move on to a basic conversation, based on self interest, that can be used to move people into collective action. You will leave this session with a practical set of tools that will allow you to effectively move people like you, and not like you, around their self interest in order to build organizations w real power.
